SkyWall CMS: the WoW Private Server CMS for 3.3.5a realms

If you run a WoW private server, you need more than a realm: you need a website your players actually use. SkyWall is a WoW private server CMS that connects straight to your emulator database and gives you a complete website and admin panel in about five minutes, with no coding. It supports AzerothCore, TrinityCore, cMaNGOS and VMaNGOS (3.3.5a) and detects which core you run.

See it first: open the live demo, read the documentation or ask on Discord.

Why choose SkyWall as your WoW private server CMS

Works with your core

AzerothCore, TrinityCore, cMaNGOS and VMaNGOS (3.3.5a). The installer detects your core, and the site adapts if you change emulator later.

Five-minute setup

A visual installer walks you through the database connection, realmlist and SOAP settings, step by step.

Security built in

CSRF protection on every form, rate limiting, SRP6 passwords like the real game, and locked-down sessions.

Fast out of the box

Caching, GZIP, lazy loading and no N+1 queries, so it stays quick with a few hundred players online.

Features for your players

Everything players expect from a modern WoW private server website, in one package.

Character armory

Search any character and see gear with real item icons, talents, professions, arena teams, achievements, guild and stats. Players can show off their character without logging in.

Community forum

Categories, threads, a rich text editor, likes and dislikes, quotes, reporting and search. Guests can read, members can post.

News and announcements

Publish patch notes, announcements and events from the admin panel. They appear on the homepage and on a dedicated news page.

Bugtracker

A clean ticket system so players report issues instead of spamming your Discord: categories, priorities, private admin notes and Wowhead links.

Shop

Players spend points on items, gold, mounts or services. You write the command (anything SOAP supports) and the shop delivers it automatically, with Vote Points and Donation Points.

Vote system

Reward players for voting on top-listing sites: multiple sites, per-site cooldowns, optional callback verification, and VP and DP on the same vote.

Donations

Players buy Donation Points. Create your own packages and currency, and get paid by Stripe or PayPal (credited automatically) or manually, including crypto, with a reference code you approve. Refunds are handled automatically.

Account progression

A 30-level system that tracks XP across all of a player’s characters, with ranks, tiers and shareable badges that give people a reason to come back.

Rankings

Four leaderboards (level, honor, kills and playtime) plus a Hardcore hall of fame with death logs and longest-surviving heroes.

Live map

A live world map of Azeroth, Outland and Northrend with Alliance and Horde players as coloured dots, updated every 30 seconds.

Live server status

Online or offline, player count and uptime, with a JSON API endpoint if you need it.

Secure accounts

Registration with email validation, SRP6 login, a math CAPTCHA with no third-party service, and password changes with strength checks.

Installable web app (PWA)

Players can add your site to their phone home screen with app icons, like a normal app.

Security & performance

Security is handled at the framework level, so you don’t have to babysit it:

What	How
CSRF tokens	Every POST request is protected
Rate limiting	Login, register, email, shop, forum
SRP6 passwords	Matches official WoW hashing
SQL injection	Prepared statements everywhere
XSS	Output escaping + HTML sanitizer
Sessions	HttpOnly, SameSite, IP/user-agent checks
Headers & HTTPS	Security headers + auto-redirect
.env protection	Blocked on Apache and Nginx

On the performance side: caching, GZIP, browser caching headers, lazy loading, no N+1 queries, and optional Redis. It stays fast as you grow.

Under the hood

Clean PHP MVC, PHP 7.4–8.2, four database connections (auth, characters, world, CMS), and a modular design. Every feature lives in its own folder under modules/ — add a feature by dropping in a folder, no core edits required.
